  1. Day 1:Arrival and Welcome Reception: Hotel Teatro, downtown Denver

After landing at Denver International Airport (DEN), you’ll be met and transported via private car service to downtown Denver and the boutique Hotel Teatro on 14th Street. There, you’ll kick off the tour with luxurious accommodations, breathtaking views and a private welcome reception to toast the unforgettable week that awaits.

  2. Day 2:Denver to Vail, Sonnenalp Resort

The real fun starts today. On the second day of your trip, you’ll head west to the mountains. Our destination for the day will be the Sonnenalp Resort near Vail. We will be taking the long way avoiding most of the Interstate as we traverse the Continental Divide. Our route will take us through Fairplay in South Park; a historical mining town and yes, the inspiration for the famed animated TV show.  Next, we will traverse Copper Mountain, Quandary Peak and Mount Lincoln. Included in this 200-mile drive will be a stop in Leadville, the highest altitude incorporated city in the US at 10,000 + feet.

    Vail Village Day 2
  3. Day 3:Vail to Steamboat Springs and Aspen

On this day we will cover nearly 300 miles on an exciting and breathtaking loop further into the Rockies. After once again passing under the shadow of Copper Mountain, we turn north taking the scenic drive to Steamboat Springs. This will be our lunch stop for this exhilarating driving day in the mountains. After a culinary respite, we will take scenic Highway 131 for the next leg of our drive toward our late afternoon arrival at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen. Along the way we will pass through high valleys, mountain roads and ranching villages. As we near Aspen, we will have wonderful views of the Roaring Fork River.

  4. Day 4:Aspen to Aspen, Funk to Funky

Day four is the middle day of your Travel Experience. It allows us to take a pause and enjoy Aspen at the much celebrated Hotel Jerome. You will enjoy the amenities of the Auberge Resort property, where you can re-energize yourself at the Spa at Hotel Jerome and explore this charming and walkable city. Or a driving adventure along mountain passes to even more remote areas west of Aspen. Options abound! This will be your second night in Aspen.

  5. Day 5:Aspen to Colorado Springs

Today we will head east with our evening destination of the famed Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. (Anybody who was anybody has stayed at this hotel. Don’t miss their celebrity photo wall.) We will cross the Continental Divide once again through the 12,000 foot Independence Pass.  The driving, switchbacks and vistas will continue to make an impression. We'll drive through Granite, Colorado and then loop in a southerly direction for a great combination of curvy mountain roads and lovely valleys.

  6. Day 6:Colorado Springs to Denver

Our fifth and final day of driving takes us back to our starting point, the Hotel Teatro. Our trip back will, of course, feature another scenic route. We’ll also drive our 911 sports cars up historic Pikes Peak! After reaching the 14,115 foot summit, we will absorb the Rocky Mountain views and take time for final day selfies and group photos. We saved the most scenic route for last as we descend from the mountains into Denver.
*Note: Climbing Pikes Peak is subject to weather conditions and road closures.

  7. Day 7:Program Concludes: Shuttles to Denver International Airport (DEN)

It’s a shame that a driving experience like this must end. But you’ll leave with fantastic memories, new friendships, and a whole new appreciation of Colorado. In the event you choose to plan another trip with Porsche Travel Experience, consider our Northeast Tour or keep an eye on our website as we explore tour plans for 2022!
