2-Day High Performance Driving Course
This advanced course is offered to former graduates of the Porsche Track Experience One-Day Precision or Two-Day Performance Course at Barber Motorsports Park. Perfect for those who are serious about advancing their skills, the Master's course is designed to take previous participants to the next level of performance.
We begin with lead/follow sessions in the morning of day one and progress to open lapping in the afternoon. We continue to polish your car control skills through practice on the Skid Pad, Cornering Drill and Autocross where you will receive in-depth instruction on cornering technique. A dinner with the instructors at the Grand Bohemian Hotel caps off the day. Since honing driving skills is all about track time, the key objective of day two is to maximize track time during the open track sessions. Instructors will coach and push you to develop your skills and be more consistent on track.
*Successful completion of a Precision or Performance Course or approval based on previous experience required. Drivers must be 21 years or older to participate and possess a current, valid driver's license
Skills development includes:
Learn the importance of weight/load management in performance driving and discover the difference that braking technique, throttle management and steering input have on the handling dynamics of a vehicle.
Practice the technique of transferring weight to the front and rear of the vehicle. Learn to correctly use the throttle in order to get the vehicle to respond.
Develop Trail Braking skills by learning the right way to release brake pressure while turning into a corner. This technique transfers weight toward the front of the vehicle to load the front tires and aid in turning ability, and maximizes the tire capability.
