View Driving Experiences — HERO CAROUSEL END– –INTERACTIVE CAROUSEL START– 1.3 Mile Handling Circuit Low-Friction Handling Circuit Ice Hill Kick Plate Acceleration Straight Low-Friction Circle Off-Road Circuit Dynamics Pad 1.3 Mile Handling Circuit A 1.3 mile circuit where drivers will be put through the paces of learning proper driving lines and cornering and braking techniques through a variety of corners, straightaways and elevation changes. A true driver development course that will help develop the skills of any level driver. Low-Friction Handling Circuit The Low Friction Handling Circuit is a dry polished concrete circuit, with multiple corners of varying shape and that allow drivers to experience the ultimate test of car control, from understeer, oversteer, weight transfer and car balance. Ice Hill The Ice Hill is a wetted polished concrete surface with a downhill slope of 7%, ending in a right-hand turn. This combination provides challenging car control scenarios that test even the most experienced drivers. Kick Plate The Kick Plate is a reactionary car control exercise. A wetted polished concrete surface proceeded by a hydraulicly-actuated plate that induces a loss of rear traction, resulting in a skid. Drivers are taught the correct techniques of how to react, catch and control a slide or spin Acceleration Straight The Acceleration Straight provides a safe and controlled environment to fully explore how a Porsche accelerates. Near the end of this 3/4 mile module is a replica of the Karussell (Carousel), the famous banked curve on the Nordschleife (North Loop) of the Nürburgring. Low-Friction Circle The Low Friction Circle is a wetted polished concrete circle that creates the ideal environment to explore understeer and oversteer and various car control techniques. Off-Road Circuit The Off-Road park is designed to highlight the capabilities of Porsche SUV’s in a dynamic and unpaved environment. From rock beds, bridges, logs and a teeter-totter, to a climbs and descents of varying degrees, this module provides a challenge for any off-roader, while also providing some of the best views at PECLA. Dynamics Pad A large paved area that encompasses several performance driving exercises, allowing drivers to experience the handling, acceleration and braking capabilities of Porsche vehicles.
