Planning Your Visit

Participants are welcome to bring non-driving guests at no additional charge. PECLA is open to the public and anyone can come to PECLA during business hours. Guests are welcome to accompany and watch drive participants from multiple areas of our facility. There is no additional charge for guests at PECLA.

Guests might also enjoy booking some time in our Simulator Lab or booking  a Demonstration Lap with one of our skilled drivers. Guests do not need to be 21 to participate in these activities.

*Some restrictions apply. Please be aware that children under the age of 16 much be supervised at all times during your visit to the Porsche Experience Center.

No, but we highly encourage you to make a reservation. While we will try to accommodate requests at the door, it cannot always be guaranteed. Appointments can be made online or by calling 1-888-204-7474.

Closed toes shoes are required. Comfortable, seasonal attire and soft-soled shoes, such as driving or tennis shoes are recommended. Shorts are allowed.

General Information

Yes. we offer three (3) types of monetary gift certificates: Drive Experience, Restaurant 917 and the Porsche Retail Store. All gift certificates are payable in full and are non-refundable.

Drive Experience gift certificates are redeemable for 90-minute drive experiences, 30-minute or 60-minute simulator lab sessions and demonstration laps. (*Gift certificates are excluded from being redeemed for Group and Corporate events). Gift certificates can be purchased online, by calling 1-888-204-7474, or in person at our main reception desk. Drive experience gift certificates are transferable and do not expire. All Porsche drive experiences require the participant to be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license (Exception: Porsche Young Driver Experience required participants to be 16-24 with a drivers license.)

Restaurant 917 gift certificates are redeemable for lunch (Tuesday-Saturday) at the restaurant located on the 2nd floor of PECLA or at our Speedster Cafe. To purchase, please call 310-521-0917 or visit the hostess desk to inquire.

Porsche Retail Store gift certificates are available at the Porsche Retail Store and redeemable only at the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles Retail Store.

Gift cards are non-refundable and do not have an expiration date for usage. If your voucher was purchased in 2017 or earlier, simply disregard the expiration date printed on your voucher.

90-Minute Porsche Drive Experience: Participants must be at least 21-years old and possess a current, government-issued driver’s license to participate and be able to speak and understand conversational English.

Demonstration Laps: Participants must be at least 12 years of age, weigh at least 80 pounds (36 kg), and can ride in the front seat of a vehicle without a booster seat.

Driving Simulators: There is not an age limit, however, there is a minimum height requirement of 48 inches.

Porsche Young Driver Experience: Available to licensed driver ages 16-21 and must be able to speak and understand conversational English. Learners permit not accepted.

Please review the following details for our rescheduling allowances and cancellation policy:

Greater Than 14 Days From Drive Experience Date:

  • Guests are allowed one reschedule or cancellation at no cost or penalty.
  • Additional reschedule requests will result in a $100.00 fee per drive experience.
  • Cancellations made after an initial reschedule will result in a $100.00 fee per drive experience.

Seven to 13 Days From Drive Experience Date:

  • $100.00 fee for all cancellations or reschedule requests per drive experience.

Six Days or Less From Drive Experience Date:

  • Full forfeiture of all fees and experience costs paid per drive experience.

No, the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles is open to the public. All are welcome! Anyone who is at least 21-years old with a current and valid government-issued Driver’s license can register for a Driving Experience.

The Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles does not allow any type of photography, video or audio captures/ recording on any streaming device to be used inside of our vehicles during any on-track experiences or demonstration laps. This includes, but is not limited to; cellular phones; handheld cameras, cameras mounted to or worn on your person (i.e., chest harnesses, hats, smart glasses, etc.); dash cameras; GoPro’s; Camera glasses, etc.

Off the track, guests are welcome to capture content in public spaces throughout the venue. We encourage you to share your content on social media channels and tag @PECLA.

We have multiple dining options at PECLA. Restaurant 917 and Speedster Cafe are available for both fine-dining and grab-and-go items.

Pets are NOT allowed at the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles, unless registered as an official service animal.

Drive Experience

PECLA has a “zero tolerance” alcohol policy regarding drive experiences. Any driver who consumes alcohol prior to their experience will not be allowed to drive. No exceptions.

Each participant is solely and personally responsible for up to $5,000 of automobile damager per occurrence. Vehicle damage is inclusive of both physical body and interior damage, including cleaning required due to car/motion sickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, it is suggested that you take proper precautions in advance.

Programs proceed rain or shine. In the event of rain, we reserve the right to modify the drive experience, including the closure of driving modules (i.e. Acceleration Straight, 1.3 mile Handling Circuit) as necessary. Due to the uncertain nature of weather, program modifications and/or module closure decisions are made at the start of each session following module inspection. Prior notification is not available or provided. In the event of severe weather, defined as weather that is likely to make the facility unsafe for driving, we reserve the right to postpone of cancel drive sessions in the interest of safety. In the event of a postponed or cancelled event, customers will be entitled to reschedule at no additional charge or request a full refund. When possible, and at our sole discretion, customers may be notified if the track is unlikely to be safe for driving at the scheduled time.

PECLA is not a race track; Lap timing is not allowed. PECLA is a driver development track, consisting of eight (8) different driving modules designed to simulate everyday driving conditions and more challenging environments to experience the thrill of driving Porsche sports cars. Our dedicated team of Porsche Drive Coaches work with each guest to provide personalized attention. No specialized equipment is needed to participate in a drive experience.

Our 53-acre property includes eight purpose-built modules to simulate a variety of driving and terrain conditions. From high-speed modules like our 1.3 mile Handling Circuit and Acceleration Straight, to a variety of low friction modules that develop car control skills, we are the ultimate automotive playground to hone your driving skills. Don’t forget to take on the challenge of our Off-Road course while you’re here.

One of our modules includes the 1.3-mile Handling Circuit that features elements inspired by famous driving roads and tracks around the world.

There is no height requirement on drive experiences but you must be at least 48 inches tall for the Simulator Lab.

No, for safety and insurance purposes, our drive experiences are designed for one driver only and cannot be split between multiple counterparts.

PECLA requires each of our driving guests to be able to effectively communicate in the English language. Should there be concern about a possible language barrier, please contact a member of our Customer Experience Team for more information at 1-888-204-7474.

No, you do not need to know how to drive manual to participate. All of our the drive experiences feature Porsche models equipped with automatic transmissions.

Neither helmets nor racing suits are required for the Porsche Experience Center. Please wear comfortable/seasonal attire and closed toed shoes.

Our drive experiences are generally 90 minute in length; you will spend a few minutes with your Porsche Drive Coach in the gallery to learn a little bit about you, the vehicle you are about to drive and discussing what you are looking to accomplish during your session. The remaining time of your session will be spent behind the wheel.

Yes, on the last Thursday of every month you can participate in our Porsche Owner Experience (POE) and drive your 1990 or newer Porsche on any of our applicable modules at PECLA. As part of POE, you will receive expert one-on-one instruction and lead-follow track time with our Porsche Certified Drive Coaches.

Yes, our exclusive in-house catering service, Bon Appetit, can customize food and beverage offerings to fit your needs. Outside food is not allowed at the Porsche Experience Center for group events. Please contact our events team for more information at PECLAevents@porsche.us.

Yes. Production shoots of any kind MUST be approved by the Porsche Experience Center in advance. Please contact PECLAmarketing@porsche.us for all filming inquiries. Day-of filming requests will not be considered.

Photo and video shoots of any kind require approval and permitting from both Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) and Porsche Experience Center (PEC) Los Angeles management. This includes but is not limited to: music videos, brand/lifestyle or engagement photoshoots, influencer vlogs and studio productions. From your favorite YouTube personality to iconic box office hits, the PECLA has worked with all scales of productions and shoots.
