Our History with Laguna Seca Our close connection with the Monterey peninsula extends back to 1954 when a Porsche 356 claimed victory at the Pebble Beach road races. Ties to the region strengthened further in 1957 when Porsche earned victory in not one, but two classes on the opening weekend at what is known today as WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

That weekend gave way to a tradition of racing – and winning – at the famous Corkscrew for nearly 70 years including an overall victory in 2024 with our current prototype racecar: the 963. This is a home away from home for Porsche, so it’s no surprise that the last four Rennsport Reunions – the biggest Porsche gatherings anywhere in the world – took place here, collectively amassing hundreds of thousands of fans.

We treasure our history in Monterey and, as we look to the future with renewed optimism and excitement, we are proud to be the “Official car of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.”
