Any driver who consumes alcohol prior to their experience will not be allowed to drive. No exceptions. Each participant is solely and personally responsible for up to $5,000 of automobile damage per occurrence. Vehicle damage is inclusive of both physical body and interior damage, including cleaning required due to car/motion sickness. If you are prone to motion sickness it is suggested that you take proper precautions in advance. Our facility will proceed with our scheduled drive experiences rain or shine (restrictions may apply). In the event of inclement weather, Our Acceleration Straight and/or Handling circuit may close until it has been determined safe by our drive team management. All other drive modules will remain open. Should our drive team management deem conditions unsafe, we will reschedule your experience at no cost. Please note, guests must arrive the day of their scheduled experience in order to waive our rescheduling fee. A “no show” will result in a full forfeiture of the cost of your experience and cannot be retroactively refunded or rescheduled. Please note that RS (GT3 RS, GT4 RS) Experiences do not operate in the rain. There are also programs that cannot be done in the cold weather; those experiences may have a snowflake icon listed on the experience. If Drive Team Management deems conditions are unsafe, accommodations will be made. The next available model will be used, and the difference in costs will be credited. PECATL is not a race track; time lapping is not allowed. PECATL has two driver development tracks, consisting of ten (10) different driving modules in total designed to simulate everyday driving conditions and more challenging environments to experience the thrill of driving Porsche sports cars. Our dedicated team of Porsche Drive coaches work with each guest to provide personalized attention. No specialized equipment is needed to participate in a drive experience. The Porsche Experience Center Atlanta has a South Track and a West Track. The South Track is a purpose built 1.6 mile driver development course and features: Dynamics Area: Test the speed, agility and lane-change performance on a large asphalt pad designed to simulate unique maneuvers you may encounter during your daily driving. Handling Circuit: A one-mile handling course designed to mimic winding country roads with a number of corners and undulations. Here, a driver will learn the finer points of choosing the correct paths when negotiating the curves and proper application of braking technique. Low-Friction Circle: Experience the over-steer capabilities of a Porsche at the low-friction circle with its uniform inward slope and polished concrete surface. Low-Friction Handling Circuit: This polished concrete surface is similar to the Low-Friction Circle, except we introduce a series of unique, tight curves, with a mixture of various types of on and off camber corners. Kick Plate: We test your vehicle’s control skills when encountering a kid or spin. The kick-plate is a flush-mounted, hydraulically actuated plate placed before a wet epoxy surface. As a vehicle travels over the plate at a safe speed, sensors move the plate randomly left or right to mimic sliding that might occur during inclement weather conditions. Off Road Circuit: Featuring a 1:1 slope, creek bed and a 45-degree vertical descent challenge to demonstrate the expansive capabilities of a Cayenne UV’s off-road engineering and safety technology. The West Track draws inspiration from the world’s most iconic racetracks and roads Handling Circuit: This 1.3 mile circuit features 26 corners and 48 feet if elevation change, thanks to our Corkscrew corner inspired by the turn at Laguna Seca, to showcase the capabilities of Porsche’s highest performance models out on track Dynamics Area: Test the speed, agility and lane-change performance on a large asphalt pad designed to simulate unique maneuvers you may encounter during your daily driving. Low-Friction Circle: Experience the over-steer capabilities of a Porsche at the ;pw-friction circle with its uniform inward slope and polished concrete surface. Ice Hill: 8% slope and computer controlled water jets creating a wet, low-friction surface that holds true to its name. This unique and challenging scenario tests even the most experienced drivers. As you begin to appreciate the handling characteristics of your car, you’ll become addicted to the module. We have two different tracks that operate independently at our Atlanta location. Our South Track is 1.6 miles (3.1 kilometers) of connectable track modules, and our West Track is a 1.3-mile handling circuit featuring elements inspired by famous driving roads and tracks around the world.
