–FAQ START–
The Porsche Travel Experience offers all-inclusive luxury driving tours across scenic routes in the United States, allowing participants to drive the latest Porsche models. These curated trips include premium accommodations, gourmet dining and expertly planned routes through stunning landscapes. All meals, hotel accommodations, fuel, private airport transfers and any special experiences planned by our team throughout the tour dates are included. Any items or gifts bought separately while on the tour are at the participant’s expense. Due to high demand and limited seats on our tours, there are no discounts available for our Porsche Travel Experience programs. All Porsche Travel Experience participants must be 21 years of age and hold a current, valid driver’s license. This requirement applies even if a participant chooses not to drive on the tour. Participants must also be able to effectively communicate and understand the English language. Due to the limited number of seats available, interpreters are not available or allowed. To enjoy everything our tours offer, participants should be comfortable walking up to a mile at a leisurely pace and climbing two flights of stairs. Each tour is limited to 24 participants. Tours usually consist of 12 couples but on occasion, single participants are accepted. While you will have your own hotel accommodation, it’s important to note that you could be paired with another single participant for shared driving. While most of our past participants are Porsche owners, this is not a requirement. Allow us to provide you with an unforgettable experience while preserving your own Porsche. Our Porsche vehicles have been thoroughly inspected to ensure they are tour ready and all safety guidelines are met. We will follow driving guidelines and traffic laws while on all roads. For interest in any high-performance driving, please visit the Porsche Track Experience website. During your 5 driving days, you’ll be driving our Porsche vehicles 100-200 miles per day. Each vehicle in the tour fleet will be equipped with a 2-way radio so that each vehicle can receive communications from their instructor. In an effort to keep radio chatter to a minimum, we kindly ask that participants only use the radio to talk to their instructor in an emergency situation. The radio channel needs to remain open so that our instructors can communicate pertinent information efficiently. Each of our participants must be able to effectively communicate and understand the English language. Due to the limited seats on the tours, interpreters are not available. No. We’ll rotate each couple through all the models ensuring that everyone gets to drive each model at least once. We’ll assign you to a different car each morning and you’ll drive that car for the entire day. Instructor vehicles will lead the group along a designated route in a structured follow-the-leader format, ensuring all vehicles stay together and no one gets separated or left behind. Our vehicles are owned and insured by Porsche Cars North America. Under this policy, each participant is solely and personally responsible for $12,500 of automobile damage if an accident occurs. This liability can be reduced to $5,000 by purchasing the reduced Damage Limitation waiver. This option is available for $750/person/tour and must be purchased prior to beginning the tour. We also recommend checking with your car insurance agent to see if your current policy covers these tours. If there is a request to cancel or change your reservation with the Porsche Travel Experience more than ninety (90) days prior to the tour start date, the registrant is entitled to a 100% refund less a $500 administrative fee. If the cancellation or change is requested between ninety (90) and sixty (60) days prior to the tour start date, the participant forfeits 50% of the tour registration fee. There are no refunds on cancellations or changes that occur less than sixty (60) days prior to the tour start date. A “no-show” forfeits the full value of the tour registration fee. Refunds will not be issued for “no-shows” resulting from weather and/or airline connection problems. For driving, dress according to the weather and season, in clothing such as jeans or khakis, cotton shirts, sweatshirts, shorts and T-shirts. Shoes should be rubber soled. We do not recommend open-toed shoes. Attire for evening events is at your discretion; however, casual neat is suggested. Some evening events may require a sport coat for men. Simply let us know at the time of registration and we can secure a room for you. However, any additional nights needed outside of the published tour dates are not included in the tour price and will be at the participant’s expense. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions, allergies or special requests upon registration. Pets or animals of any kind are not permitted on the tours. A luggage van will accompany the fleet throughout the tour. Your bags will be accounted for by our team the entire time.
