Health & Safety Guidelines

The Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles has reopened effective June 5, 2020. We’ve done so with an abundance of caution, and with many prudent measures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of anyone visiting or working at Porsche can be maintained.

We know you’ve waited a long time for your visit, and we appreciate and share your concerns. Nothing is more important to us than your well-being, which is why we take our responsibility seriously. Your well-being is our first priority

We’re being really careful, for all the right reasons. To keep everyone safe and well, we’re going to ask you to observe and adhere to the following simple, sensible steps:
Please stay home if you’re not feeling well. 
If you’re experiencing flu-like symptoms or have had contact with any possible source of the virus, please reschedule your visit. This is really important. 
To enter the building, you’re going to undergo a temperature scan. 
Sounds scary, (but isn’t). We require everyone who visits our facility to submit to a contact-free thermal temperature screening. Individuals with a temperature of 100.4⁰F or greater will be asked to reschedule their drive experience. We appreciate that this is abnormal - thank you for bearing with us. 
Masks are required for everyone, all the time. 
Unless exempt by local, state or federal guidelines or law, guests will be required to wear a mask at all times when visiting the Porsche Experience Center, (PEC). The mask must cover the nose and mouth when on-site at the facility. For those without a mask, please let us know upon your arrival and one will be provided to you. If you require special accommodations, we ask that you please contact the PEC at 888.204.7474 prior to your visit or alert the PEC team upon your arrival.
Social distancing. 
Everyone on site must adhere to social distancing guidelines and remain at least 6ft, (as you’ll instantly recall, the equivalent of a 911-width), apart at all times. 
Guest limitations
To help us limit building occupancy during this first phase of our reopening, we kindly ask that you limit non-driving guests to two (2) individuals.  
Use common sense. 
Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water and use the hand-sanitizing stations that have been placed throughout the building as often as you wish. Avoid touching your face or hands. Finally, and as usual, please be careful, be patient and be kind. Enjoy your time at the Porsche Experience Center.


Changes to the drive experience

  • Customers will check into their drive experience using a digital kiosk to minimize interaction with the Customer Experience Team. This kiosk will be sanitized after each customer interaction.
  • We are conducting all drive experiences in a “lead-follow” format. Each participant will drive alone in his or her vehicle, following a Porsche Drive Coach in a separate vehicle ahead. Driving participants will receive instruction from their coach via radio.
  • One coach may instruct up to two individuals, (while each remain in their own vehicles).
  • No additional passengers are allowed in the vehicle during the drive experience.

    Demonstration Laps have returned with special modifications to ensure your safety.

  • Select 911 vehicles, (including 911 Turbo and GT3) are specially equipped with plastic barrier screens installed between Porsche Drive Coach and guest.
  • Every vehicle is disinfected between each driving experience using an EPA-certified disinfectant known to kill coronavirus.
  • Face masks must be worn by both the driver and guests at all times during the demonstration lap. Masks will be made available if needed.


Enhanced facility and vehicle sanitation

  • All areas of the building routinely undergo enhanced cleaning and sanitation, with an emphasis on high touch surfaces.
  • A comprehensive cleaning schedule has been developed and log is maintained to ensure consistent and timely sanitation.
  • Hand sanitizing stations and sanitizing wipes are readily available throughout the facility.
  • After each customer use, vehicle interior and exterior is cleaned and sanitized with an EPA registered broad-spectrum disinfectant that kills the COVID-19 virus as well as other bacteria.
  • All soft surfaces and upholstery are steamed with a commercial grade steamer in 300⁰F water, and a sanitizing vapor dispersed throughout the vehicle’s interior.
  • New seat covers, steering wheel and gearshift wrap is applied before each customer's use.
  • Employees responsible for transporting and cleaning vehicles are equipped with proper personal protection at all times to preserve sanitary conditions.


Retail Store, Speedster Café & Restaurant 917

Additionally, we've made changes to our facility to operate safely and adhere to guidelines established by Los Angeles County and the state of California.

Facility Changes:
  • Restaurant 917's outdoor dining experience, 917(K)afe, is open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, plus the third Sunday of the month.
  • Speedster Cafe is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday offering grab-and-go options and limited indoor seating.
  • The Retail Store is open, adhering to social distancing guidelines.
