Health & Safety Guidelines

The Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles is planning to reopen on June 5, 2020. We’re doing so with an abundance of caution, and with many prudent measures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of anyone visiting or working at Porsche can be maintained. We hope you’ll understand that this date is subject to change, based on state and local government mandates.

What to expect

New Cleaning and Social Distancing Measures

Facility:
  • Comprehensive daily cleaning schedule for consistent and timely sanitization throughout the facility.
  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitization throughout the facility, with an emphasis on high touch surfaces.
  • Hand sanitizing stations and sanitizing wipes will be readily available throughout the facility.
  • All guests will check into PEC LA using a digital kiosk for contactless check-in. The kiosk will be sanitized after each customer interaction.


Social Distancing and Visiting requirements:
  • We are asking all guests to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
  • We are asking drivers to limit the number of accompanying guests to limit building occupancy.
  • All guests upon arrival will have their temperature taken.
  • We are asking that all visiting guests wear a facemask. If you do not have a mask, one will be issued to you upon arrival.


Vehicles:
  • The interior and exterior of each vehicle will be cleaned and sanitized after each customer’s use.
  • All soft surfaces and upholstery will be steamed with a commercial grade steamer operating at 300° F.
  • The vehicle’s interior will also be sanitized with a broad-spectrum disinfectant that kills the COVID-19 virus as well as other bacteria.
  • New seat covers, gearshift wrap and steering wheel wrap will be applied inside the vehicle before each customer’s use.

What to expect

Drive Program Changes

We are making several changes to our driving experiences to adhere to social distancing recommendations.

  • All drive experiences will be conducted in a lead-follow format on the Handling Circuit, with each participant following a Porsche Drive Coach in a separate vehicle. Participants will receive instructions from their coach via radio.
  • For other modules such as the Low Friction Circle and Kick Plate, the Porsche Drive Coach will instruct participants from outside of the vehicle via radio.
  • With the new lead-follow driving format, customers may be grouped in pairs with one Porsche Drive Coach. Each customer will operate their own vehicle.
  • Master the Manual and Accelerated programs have been temporarily suspended until further notice.

What to expect

Retail Store, Speedster Café & Restaurant 917

Additionally, we are making changes to our facility to ensure that we can safely reopen and adhere to guidelines established by Los Angeles County and the state of California.

Facility Changes:
  • Speedster Cafe will be open, offering grab & go food options.
  • Restaurant 917 will be temporarily closed, except for delivery through Postmates beginning June 30th.
  • The Retail Store will be open, adhering to social distancing guidelines.
