Participants must be at least 21 and possess a current, valid drivers license.
We have a limited number of Tiptronic cars in our fleet. They are available on a first come, first serve basis. If you require an automatic transmission please notify PSDS at least 2 weeks before the scheduled class.
We do provide helmets for the course but participants are welcome to bring their own if it is rated Snell 2000 or better. We do not require racing suits therefore we do not provide them.
Participants are welcome to bring a guest for an additional $125 for a one day course and $250 for a two day course. The guest can join us for all classroom and training sessions, as well as all meals. Guests will not be permitted to ride with participants, however they may ride with a PSDS instructor during certain segments. Guests will be required to sign all PSDS and track waivers.
Our program runs from 8:00 AM to approximately 4:45 PM each day with roughly 20% of your time spent in classroom sessions. The remaining 80% of your day is spent behind the wheel.
No, but we will provide directions and local hotel listings in the participant registration packet.

Yes. You may purchase an open-ended gift certificate, which is valid for one year from date of purchase. All gift certificates are payable in full and are non-refundable. To order a gift certificate,

We provide the cars for the course. You are welcome to bring your own car, but it will have to stay in the parking lot.
Comfortable, seasonal attire is recommended. Shorts are allowed. We also recommend you wear soft-soled shoes, such as driving or tennis shoes.
If there is a request to cancel or change your reservation with The Porsche Sport Driving School more than 30 days prior to the course, a $250.00 fee will be charged. If the cancellation or change is requested less than 30 days prior to the course date, the participant forfeits half the cost. There are no refunds on changes or cancellations less than 7 days prior to the course.
Each participant has a liability of $10,000, per occurrence, for damage to the car they are driving. We offer an opportunity to reduce your deductible from $10,000 to $2000. The additional insurance costs $100 per day.
Class starts at 8:00 AM and finishes at approximately 4:45 PM each day.
The Birmingham International Airport (BHM) is only 15 minutes from the Barber Motorsports Park. The Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is approximately a two and a half hour drive from the track.
We normally have 20 students per class.
